Moseley Brothers was founded in 1919 by W J Moseley under the name of Midland Manufacturing. The company was incorporated as Moseley Bros (Tools) Ltd in 1931.

In 1995 the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Primat Group. Since this event Moseley Brothers has undergone significant changes and has developed into a specialist manufacturer of press tools as well as offering various other associated services.

The company has moved premises three times from its original location in Birmingham. The last move was in 1999, to the current location, a modern manufacturing unit on the Vaughan Trading Estate in the West Midlands.
